Found Poem by the bayou Slip
I happened upon this incredible trashpile last fall by a home that was finally being gutted post Katrina. I got a few books and some lace and other stuff but didnt look too close at all of it. When I got home, I found the latin book was full of someone's handwritten homework, including these poems. So they were scanned and printed them onto silk to embellish these recycled slips.

Faux Bois BayouSalvage style

Fake wood- that 70's afterglow- has been festering and blooming in the Misses Salvage workshop. We've been trying to find alternate ways to use this chippy wood and incorporate more of our burgeoning stock into creative reuse that isnt just shotgun houses and fleurdebris.iIve been printing my photographs onto my own recycled linen and canvas and then sewing to leather for cuffs and bags. But other less obvious uses are festering too.... More to come mon amis.........
