Thrifting in Kansas City Missouri MAJR THRIFT

We've been having a wonderful time trawling the streets of Kansas City for good barbeque and good shopping. After stopping by Oklahoma Joe's original outpost of good eatin', we happened upon MajR Thrift just down the way.
In an unassuming corner of one of those strip malls lies the MajR. We were beckoned in by the 30% off all summer merchandise and half off day advertisements.
Unfortunately, the selections there were geared more for those seeking vintage supplies to work with and not for finding good vintage pret a porter.
This is the place to go to though if you are looking for vintage items to embellish or alter or supplies for altered collage creations. There was a good stock of plain vintage hats, vintage chippy toys -both wooden and metal- and as always, good vintage books.
You could also look here for good slips that need a bit of revamp. All in all MajR Thrift is a picked over destination as far as clothing goes, but for supplies, you can beat their cheap prices for vintage materials.

Fun idea for a vacation--did you rent a U-haul?!
If you're headed to St. Louis, there are thrifts a-plenty, including some great Re-Stores (Habitat for Humanity charity shops with donated contruction materials from remodeling projects.)

Oh, I know this shop! I always look for great furniture there back when I was still living there in Missouri. Cash advance loans from that firm I go to always help me whenever I need it for shopping. What made it easier to get is it has an online cash advance application.

Anyway, that store has a very wide selection of stuff sold at very low prices. I've always wanted to go back there.

They have been forced out to make way for more trendy shops. I guess I won't be buying any more clothes. The block now caters to mindless yuppies that don't represent the neighborhood. Another reminder that money is all most people care about. I am disgusted and will never return the that block again. Someone took the wrong lane. Sometimes you want to stay out of the lane.
