Thrifting down de bayou cher

I got into my piroux cher to go meet my friend Snookie Faucheaux and check out de bargins in Boutte.
The first stop was de family Thrift Center in Westwego, 6620 Highway 90 West. This place has three racks of 25 cent specials and tag sales that change daily. Bring de cash because they dont take no plastic or checks der. There were a few lovely vintage slips and they do have interesting collectible china if you like that sort of thing. Sometimes they have nice fabric but not this time. Dey aint open on Sunday neither, but 10-6 Monday thru Sat.

the next stop on down the road about 15 miles was the lovely town of Boutte or is it Luling? St. Charles Parish has a store called the "social concerns." This here is Snookie Country so drive slow and stop often for de sausage oooweee. Keep driving down Highway 90 West til you hit the new Walgreens and Paul Mallard Drive. Take a right at the Snookie signs and head down one mile thru de bayou. Get there early, social concerns closed prompty at 3:45pm. Shop here for old records, books, silver, silverplate and some supersweet furniture. No clothes - they are pretty picked over.I did see a vintage Schwinn that was royal blue and in perfect condition.
